In addition to our training program, Rooted Edge Consulting offers both nonprofit consulting project services as well as leadership coaching services. Depending on your organization’s needs and challenges, you may be interested in one or the other or a combination of both!
Through our leadership coaching service, we partner with your organization to help coach and train one or more of your leaders. We can work one-on-one with your new or seasoned team member (ie an executive, team leader, manager, department head, or leaders in other capacity) around foundational skills, including management, project management, leadership skills, building a strong organizational culture, and generally advancing their work.
We’ll design the consulting/ coaching plan which works best for you, but most of our projects include: direct training on core skills; observation and intake; providing tools and templates to help with efficiency; and ongoing coaching/ listening sessions, ongoing observation and feedback; problem-solving around your biggest pain points.
More on coaching: a few examples of the challenges we could decide to address together through coaching include: strengthening your ability to give effective feedback to your staff; goal setting and planning; making your team meetings more effective, engaging, and inclusive; ensuring weekly check-ins lay the foundation for the best possible week ahead; strengthening your process for an upcoming hiring project with strong DEI values and best recruiting practices; managing multiple staff, including managers; or designing a training and plan around a skill or proficiency for an area of growth with your staff.
More on consulting projects: Some current and former consulting projects have included: a project to strengthen project management and communication at an international organization; designing and building a new staff onboarding program for a national nonprofit; assessing and building a plan for strengthening the management team at a nonprofit; and launching a new initiative at a campaign organization.

Our hourly rate for coaching and consulting projects is between $75 to $125/ hour, depending on your organization's overall budget and budget for the project. We can find an hourly rate that works best for you. You are only billed for time spent on our project. We are also open to a project-based set-up as well.
Please note that the estimated hour project includes not just direct coaching time, but also the hours spent on prep/ research/ training development/ and more to make the work together as impactful as possible.
We also offer a free 20 to 30 minute coaching session to give you a chance to meet Sarah, and explore challenges together. We believe this is helpful for giving potential coaching clients a taste of our approach and where we can help strengthen your management approach and skills.
